Money magazine explains: “How to Get Items Removed From Your Credit Report”
In today’s issue of Money magazine, reporter Giancarlos Merced asked Certified Financial Planners to help readers find ways to get items removed from a credit report.
Marguerita Cheng, CEO of Blue Ocean Global Wealth explains:
“Having a healthy credit score can do wonders for your financial life. It signals lenders that you are good at paying back what you borrowed. This opens the opportunity to accomplish financial milestones such as buying a car and/or home. In addition to a good credit score opening a lot of doors for you, another factor to keep in mind is the information on your credit report. Your credit report contains very important, and sensitive information such as personal information, credit history, inquiries, and public records. It is utterly important that you regularly review your credit report and make sure the information is accurate and true. If you find an error or negative information in your report, you need to dispute that information immediately with the credit bureau or reporting business. The process could take some time, but it’s well worth doing so to avoid the possibility of damaging your credit score or worse, identity theft.”
